Ita's Engagement

I had this cake done before I went for my umrah. I didn't managed to post the pictures as I was busy preparing for my departure.

My sister ordered this cake for her friend's daughter. The color theme for her engagement is brown. I used a ready made roses in light orange to go with the brown.

From New Zealand With Love

I received an email from Kamm of Indera Mahkota Kuantan but currently studying in New Zealand. She requested for a box of birthday cupcakes to be sent to her beloved mum and niece back home. She left for New Zealand about few months ago and missed both her mum and niece terribly.

Tetamu Allah

Pertama kali saya menjejakkan kaki ke Rumah Allah SWT adalah pada tahun 2006. Saya menerima undangan Allah SWT untuk menjadi tetamu di rumahNYA dengan penuh rasa hiba dan keinsafan. Berdiri di depan Kaabah, terasa diri ini terlalu kerdil di sisi Allah SWT. Keinsafan datang dengan sendirinya dan airmata tidak henti mengalir sebagai tanda kesyukuran saya keatas nikmat dan kurnia yang telah Allah SWT berikan kepada saya serta keluarga. Saya bersyukur kerana di usia yang agak muda, saya bernasib baik kerana diberi peluang untuk menjadi tetamu Allah SWT.

Insyaallah, dalam masa beberapa hari lagi, saya serta ahli keluarga yang lain akan menunaikan umrah. Saya dan suami menjadi tetamu Allah SWT buat kali keduanya. Tidak sabar rasanya hati saya ini. Terbayang-bayang kehebatan Kaabah di depan mata saya. Malam saya kini diulit mimpi indah di rumah Allah, siang saya di penuhi dengan bayangan saya bersolat di depan Kaabah dan mengucup Hajar Aswad.

Disini, saya ingin mengambil kesempatan memohon seribu kemaafan jika ada perkataan, tulisan, perbuatan yang menyinggung hati pembaca blog saya, mahupun jika ada kekurangan di dalam saya membekalkan cupcakes saya buat sajian anda dan keluarga. Doakan pemergian saya dan keluarga. Semoga perjalanan kami mendapat keberkatan dari Allah SWT, semoga amal ibadat kami di terimaNYA dan semoga kita semua akan sentiasa berada di dalam lindunganNYA. Doakan saya agar menjadi seorang mukminin yang lebih sempurna dari yang sebelumnya. Insyaallah, saya akan sentiasa mendoakan kesejahteraan pembaca semua dan semoga anda semua memperoleh hidayah dari Allah SWT.

Kami sekeluarga akan berangkat ke Tanah Suci pada 30 May dan Insyaallah akan pulang ke tanahair pada 11 June. Saya akan berehat dari memasak buat seketika. Insyaallah jika dipanjangkan umur, saya akan mula mengambil tempahan selepas 15 June 2009.

I cannot describe my feelings when I entered the House of Allah for the first time back in 2006. I cried endlessly looking at the great Kaabah, stood tall before me and how lucky I was to be one of HIS guest.

And Insyaallah, in few days time my family and I are leaving for The Holy land. I am both excited, happy and look forward for the coming journey. I am leaving on May 30th and Insyaallah , I will be back on Friday, 11th June.

I wish to seek forgiveness from all my readers and my loyal customers. Please pray for our safety and Insyaallah, business will resume after June, 15th.

I was down with flu and fever (nope, not Swine flu) for the last 2 weeks. I had to dragged myself out of the bed and make sure that all the cupcakes are ready on time. I am not in the position to disappoints my customers. I was lucky because my husband was around to help me with the baking and cleaning (yeah, he always do, thanks dear).

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there. We celebrated Mother's Day at Bubba Gump in Sunway Pyramid. A nice place owned by the SM Nasimuddin's family. Kak Julie (was in Kedah) and Marina (on confinement) was not around to join the rest of the clan. Some of the pictures taken during the dinner.

“My sons – Syed Muhammad Adam, 17, Syed Muhammad Hakim, 10, and Syed Muhammad Arif, eight, love to cook! I don’t really know how that happened. All I know is that they love watching cooking shows on TV. Their favourite is Chef Kamarul and they’ll always try to copy his style in the kitchen. At home, on some occasions, I now find myself with nothing to do, as my children will cook for my husband and me. There’s absolutely nothing more that I can ask of my three handsome boys.”

Following are a selection of her recipes which her sons follow with a dash of boyish zest.

P/S: I am so upset. I never asked for any deposit from my customers and what I got in return, a last minute cancellation. I have baked, decorated and she didn't have the guts to call or sms me. Just a short email send at 7.15 pm informing me of the cancellation and I only got the news when I am done with the decorating at 11.00 pm. Well shit do happen..

Pinkish Wedding Cake

Kak Norita ordered a wedding cake at the eleventh hour. I had to rush to do the cake and since I do not have any spare ready made rolled fondant I had to make one. The first trial, a total waste. The fondant didn't turn out the way it was supposed to be. It crack and not able to rolled. Tried to do magic but it was far too late. Finally, husband and I decided to make a new fresh fondant with lots of prayers. Alhamdullillah it turn out just nice.

Since it's a last minute order, I am not able to do my own roses and had to used the ready made instead. I only had one day to do the cake and with that little time I had, no way I am able to dry the roses in time.

This is the final artwork. I am not too happy with so many things with regards to the design. I wish I have more time experimenting the cake and put my ideas into reality.
